rabbitoh, great to see that you catch and release, as DD says it is the only way to go but many do not get it.
DD that is a big impoundment bass, never fished the dams as we only fish the headwaters of the river here on our place in nthn NSW. My best was 44cm on 4lb braid, great fun and it swum away to breed another day. Funny but we find in this clear fast flowing water over a rocky bottom the mid 30s fight harder than the really big ones, maybe they are just more agile. Best spot we have found has a few resident platypus, crikey they are shy.
