Scotland is a backward country with an inferiority complex stretching back hundreds of years .
Scotsman make tremendous soldiers and the sound of bagpipes coming over the hill is enough to generate fear in any right minded opponent .
Unfortunately for Scotland , it became a recipient of handouts from England the worst being implicit ones like location of millions of public sector bureaucrat non-jobs . This seems to have sapped the place of it's self respect and increased their already prodigious propensity for moaning .
Their football league used to be a 2-horse race between Glasgow Rangers and Glasgow Celtic - until they shot one of the horses !
They have only two world class companies ; the engineering concern Weir Group and Barr which makes Tizer and Irn-Bru fizzy drinks .
Never invest in any other Scottish company . There is a Scottish Mafia which is above the law including securities laws which will snaffle all the gains and you are not a member !
I say this as someone who is half Scottish .
