Since you choose to continue to be a pain with your inferences that others are ignorant of your thesis for the failures in EGO.
I do have a problem with your hypothesis for the progressive crumbling collapse of Empire. The primary underlying flaw in your belief is that the POO has been the key factor. You ask "Well where would we be if oil had stayed at $100?" Well lets celebrate that thought?

But really Wabbs? I know this will come as a shock to you; But oil did not and could not stay at that price for a whole lot of other reasons, all unrelated to the situation at EGO. Despite all the brilliance and genius of our head shed team.

More to the point! You asked if anyone could specify a decision the head shed made which was not a good decision at the time? 33 Board meetings in a year? What was happening there - Dynamic and well informed decision making? Oh, I see now, thats why we are where we are now, right?

Like most rational people, I try and prefer to deal with what is really happening, and I think anyone could be forgiven for thinking that the biggest decision making failures occurred because the decision makers did not make themselves fully aware of what was really happening. I believe a certain key individual played a part in the succession of decisions made which brought about the problems which have occurred.

You can single yourself out as the only sharp pencil in the pack, and run your singularly obscure facination for a parallel history of your own creation preoccupied with what might have been, rather than what anyone else is able to see as quite a different reality.

The other thing which might help unravel the mysteries of your deep insights into the causes of the demise of the company as we know it, would be if you could get some help in presenting your ideas so readers can give you the courtesy of trying to undestand what you are on about?

Meanwhile Ol' M8, forgive my curiosity but I wonder if you may be facing issues more profoundly odd than why you cannot see that you are pushing a barrow loaded with irrelevant rubbish.
