Speeding drivers should not be mollycoddled. They should be fined. If they don't have the sense not to speed in the first place, they'll never learn by a little "please, sir/madam, don't do it again" grovel by a police force that should be chasing after crims. Even before the cameras, people used to whinge about the cops booking them to collect funds. Being a cop is a ba s tard of a job at the best of times. Having to confront mad drivers would not enhance that occupation very much at all. Result? Fewer recruits, more real crime left unpursued, more crims on the loose. Just don't speed under any circumstances. FULL STOP! (P.S. I just had a djk wik tailgating me for a good couple of kilomtrs in a suburban street and blowing his horn incessantly. It was obvious the i djot wanted to speed. Had I the room I'd move over for the fat m,ongrel but I didn't. I wished camers could also check that sort of behaviour!)
