Grasim, yes I am a victim of exactly what you have stated about the new recruits. I worked for one of the major divisons bhp hived off and in one of it's most profitable departments, 35 years service, 30 years of experience in one area but I was told at 48, that it was a young mans game! Now the area's production is at an all time low (not only because of my absence) for exactly the reasons you stated - no experience! In one year we released over 400 years of experience so the young grads could get in. An another commentator was right it probably has plenty of upside but many years down the track. Until major co's change their attitude to 'older' workers they will continue to underperform. They are living on luck at the moment courtesy resources boom.
