AP brought the cost down to supposedly less than $10 per chip, down from $50 per chip. I would assume however, that most phone and other micro speakers, are in the $0.50 sell range, obviously not including everything else to make them work (i.e. D/A, amp, etc.). So let's say $1.50 for a phone speaker, and maybe slightly higher for a laptop speaker. Keep in mind there's 100w amps that sell for $2.50 and less, so these figures are pure guesstimates unless someone has more solid figures.

I would hope AP's product is so superior, that the price jump for manufacturers will be worth it. I can see it being justified, but only if the specs are as promised.
