My colleagues are currently involved with an FMG study to construct a new 16 mtpa (40-50 yrs life span) magnetite project. Possible start of construction is 1st half of 2018.
Last year this study was only for 9 mtpa but I think because of the structural changes in China of the price differential between high and low grade iron ore, this project is becoming more crucial for FMG.
Fingers crossed, expect announcement before end of the year!
