He gets asked the question "Lithium’s popularity has spiked on expected demand for electric car batteries. Do you see demand remaining high?"
And proceeds to ignore demand in his answer. Here's the thing. On current numbers, supply looks like it could outstrip demand in about 2019-20 BUT every prognostication about demand has been wrong. They have been low. China is ramping up faster than any forecast can foresee.
If there is any surplus, it won't be deep and it won't be for long.
