I interpret the LIT announcement today as a CLARIFICATION that LIT has exclusive rights to the L-Max technology in Western Australia until 2020, which will be extended for another 20 years if LIT builds a L-Max plant anywhere in the world until the end of 2020.
This means GXY cannot use L-Max for Mt. Cattlin before right expires in 2020 or not before 2040 if LIT succeeds in building L-Max plant. If GXY wants to use L-Max, GXY will have to sell their Mt Cattlin tailings to LIT or have another agreement with LIT.
So, what did GXY buy into LPD for if not Mt Cattlin spod.....maybe for JB? Why does GXY build evaporation ponds at SDV right now if L-max can be also used for brine (unless you still need to concentrate the brine)?
I am sure it will all become clear in the near future. Exciting!
