Were farming in the upper great southern of WA. Having one of our best years ever in this region. We look like achieving our highest cereal yield average this season. Even last year when a large portion of WA was in drought it wasnt to bad here. Land is around $1000 acre. Grain prices at historic highs looks good for the next couple of years. A few weeks ago forward prices for canola were higher in 08/09 than the forward prices 07/08 season. Barley prices look excellent with little premium for malt over feed. The only grain dragging its feet at the moment is Oats/Hay.
