wireline logs results still unknown why

Had a quick read on the updates from Valentine 1 well.

Best comment was from Criag M at EGO, that he awaiting the wireline log interp.

I do not quite understand this, as you are able to see what you have from the wireline logs as the data is collected at the wellsite. You can do further computer interp etc but a good petroleum geologist can see the results as the well is logged.

Conclusion.

The gas show are not easily seen by the wireline logs.

Why

The over weight mud has invaded the porous gas layer to such an extent that the resistivity (shallow, med, deep) is unable to see the gas effect. bugger.

Well no really as it shows you have producible reservoir, there again it might just indicate a fracture system, but it can't be a major fracture system as otherwise ARQ would have lost all the mud into the fracture, in which case you then get a blow out.

Oh I do not know, we have to wait for more info.

Not sure the above helps but it all that I can think of based on the current information to hand.
