    G'morning all

I finished running my eyes over the After Market thread and felt stirred to post this morning.

I arrived here – HotCopper – to learn. I do time across various threads, following and reading from various posters. I've not always agreed with certain styles, sentiments and calls, but I would hate for this joint to clear out of the general activity, and for the large part informative posts. The Day Trade thread is obviously a little unique, in that is moves just as fast as the market. I understand that and I still choose to eyeball it. Multiple mentions of a stock don't bother me personally if that stock is moving around. However, when someone mentions a stock on the ST thread recommending it as a potential trade for that day, and each and every other day thereafter, without it moving, that's what I'd call taking the piss. And that's why I called you out @Burnett. Nothing personal, mate. And I don't doubt you've made some good calls. SCU might provide a trade someday. And I hope ya make some brass on it. Just try to wait for that day before getting behind it so vigorously on the DT thread.

With respect to @mirren @67shelby, a highly successful marketing fella I follow constantly references "embracing the tension" for it is often where all the good stuff is. (Side note: Investor Ray Dalio explores this in a recent yarn with Tim Ferris here.) My point being that I'd hate to see either of you, or anyone else for that matter (yep, including you @Burnett ), opt to exit the building. I've learnt plenty form you both along with many others, some of whom I've not seeing eye-to-eye with on an investing level.

And I guess that is the backbone of this post: Stay hungry, after it, but also stay humble and most of all stay around.

Keep it about investing. Challenge and be okay with being challenged. Cut the crap, keep it clean and be mindful of your influence. We've all torched dough and know what it feels like, possibly even from a HC lead.

At ease on the high seas!  – Alby
