Just noticed something else odd. If one looks at the average price of a MM spread (options) for calls and puts the calls average is usually a little higher than the current price and the puts average is a little lower. Normally it is centred around the current price as well. The current average for puts on XJO is 6175ish, nothing strange there. The calls average is also around 6175. Not only is it abnormal for the calls to be below the current price but pretty much equal to the puts is pretty rare in my experience. I have seen it a couple of times on stocks and it usually means the price will correct to that level pretty soon, but I have never noticed it on an index before. Very bearish in my book. I would expect to see 6175 very soon, like tomorrow.
