I have been trying to understand how this could have happened and not having any impact on the SP; then I realized what Bullant posted a week back about how Morgan Stanley was getting rid of their FAR shares and that was finished on the 11th.
If the Shorters were lucky and opportunistic, they would have bought the whole lot, finalised them on the 11th and then declared the position a few days later (I think it's 5 days). That sort of all fit.
Situation now is, if the shorters were gone, the SP even though more stable, would also lack the rush if a good announcement is forth coming. We were after all waiting for the shorters to cover to generate the up lift. If that is the case, the shorters must be b!00dy opportunistic to have Morgan Stanley wanting to be out of FAR. Another puzzle is Morgan rated FAR at 13c, so why get out at 7c?
