More like a lab rat.
Basically the JVP may forego production of SL 1 to gain information on the reservior.
This may take the form of " Test to Destruction".
It is better to sacrifice a vertical well to gain information to better complete horizontals.
If SL 1 is ever brought on for commercial production the production rates may be well below optimum due to the testing carried out.
