Following my latest (4th) suspension and the pack mentality recently displayed on this forum, I will only post on this thread from now on.
Please show respect to other SHs and investors by not trying to get the thread shut down. I will not reply to questions, as my ignore list is too extensive.

All posts are IMO, and apologise if posted before, but I really can’t be bothered trawling through the ESI forum anymore.

1: On Monday (16th Oct), the Indian Ministry of Steel directed the CMDs of PSUs under Ministry of Steel (our partners, NMDC, included) to finalize and implement all SPVs and joint ventures in a time-bound manner.
The pic below shows NMDC’s new chairman in the front row … ears burning.

2: Reported in today’s Latrobe Valley Express: Federal member for Gippsland Darren Chester says the energy policy unveiled (this Tuesday) by the government will improve affordability while encouraging Latrobe Valley power stations to invest in upgrades … "Under our policy, the Coalition is looking after the interests of power station workers in the Latrobe Valley, by encouraging investment in more efficient use of brown coal electricity generation…”

3: Our Indian partners, NLC, used to operate their own briquetting plant {Leco}, making coke from lignite, and extensively used in the industrial sector. Founded in 1966, it produced 262,000 ton per annum, and employed 500 workers. It was shut down in 2002 after expenditure of $AU 19,000,000. I'm awaiting verification whether the plant is still mothballed. Official sources said these units were closed down because the plants had become obsolete, and required modernisation if the products were to be competitive in the market. Moreover, it also involved a huge subsidy.
And people say we need NLC more than they need us? Are ECT trying to sell, or are NLC trying harder to buy?

4: Dear ECT, thanks for the ann; but our Indian director is called Neil POLLOCK,  not Pollard.
