Trials are like high jumping. The further you go in the competition the higher the bar gets. Unfortunately with each trial level (as with each jump) you are actually getting closer to being out of the competition, not closer to success i.e. the higher the bar the higher the likelihood of an unsuccessful jump.
I’m a big fan of what MSB are trying to do and hope (for my investment and for the potential beneficiaries of the science) they keep clearing the bar. I also acknowledge that the chance of failure increases with each success, not decreases. If it was the other way around you would be buying in at an sp well above current.
Investors like Madam will wait until MSB clears the bar and are prepared to pay a premium for lower risk. Others (like me) will choose a discount for higher risk. No right or wrong - just is.
