Did anyone ever think that a reliable transition to renewable energy might have been to start with a reliable 1% stable supply?
Then progress through 2%, 3, 4 & 5 all the way up to the 40 or 50% targets.
Working through kinks along the way without major disruption and allowing advancement in technologies and reduction in costs of infrastructure to make a smoother transition?
Maybe it would have taken years but it would have been stable years. Politically and with power supply.
Might have been a better idea than switching off the power plants and hoping the wind was blowing as hard from nature as it was from the mouths of politicians.
