Some truth in that but Macquarie is not a Bank. It's much much more diversified than a bank (it will be dropping the word Bank soon). How many banks do you know that own funeral parlors in Australia? or that buy Marino Sheep sperm banks? You can't compare. And it's still bullet proof even after a credit meltdown.
