A second (and last) day of elections is going to end in few minutes. About nationalisation please do not forget Babis (leader of ANO, likely strongest party) is Slovak origin and business man owning a lot of private companies. Similar for Okamura (leader of SPD, likely one of strongest parties) is Japanese origin and also business man owning a lot of private companies. Any nationalisation would create a dangerous precedence for their businesses.
I am sure to everyone who reads my comments here must be pretty clear I am not fan of Babis at all. But I never wrote he is stupid or insane. My position to Okamura is a bit better - there are no known frauds as far as I am aware. Anyway both of these guys can count 1+1, say something before elections which will help them to get more votes and do something else after. They are very well aware how inefficiently state owned companies operate and the state would definitely not win at all. They know very well there are way better ways for Czech Republic to gain from lithium. Giving Diamo (lazy bureaucratic company) a try would likely result in mining starting around 2035 and since beginning constantly subsidised to end up by selling it back to private sector for symbolic one dollar to spare taxpayers and actually make some money on fees and taxes...
