Here again there are precedents. LON: XEL. You do the research - I know about it intimately because I hung on to the end and lost everything.

As for the Hewlett Packard/Autonomy comparison, I provided one link only that summed up the defence case (from the horse's mouth). There is any amount of coverage of it on the internet so what's the point in me choosing what you should consider? I was also involved in the takeover situation but not afterwards, although I have followed proceedings ever since. The HP takeover was rather more positive for me as I owned a stack of Autonomy shares at an average of about £5 which I'd accumulated over the years (I was so convinced of its merits that it represented 87% of my portfolio at the time HP pitched up with a cash offer of £25.50 a share). Nice one - bet you're made up for me, eh SWC? It's an ill wind and all that.

I also did well as a late entrant to QPP (I couldn't have invested while Terry was there). An Australian company came along out of the blue and paid $1bn for a collection of different businesses only recently put together in a chancy industry and with no real trading history to go by - very surprising I thought. Refreshing for the bank balance though, so no complaints.

back end. Embarrassing WE but very entertaining

And for me I vote NO to the lenders proposal.

My leverage is for example that SGH is much more worth alive.

Selling my shares for nothing? NO thanks.
