why the sudden drop late friday night

    Does anyone know why the gold price dropped rather suddenly late Friday night. It was travelling nicely up about $8 when I hit the sack then down very fast to level out with no gain at all. Looking at the chart something brought it back fast.
    any knowledge as to why.
