Mobile will never beat fixed line fibre, not on cost, speed, or capacity. It won't die, that is insanity. New technologies will arrive within a decade that make FTTP connections crucial.
However, mobile can severely damage NBNCO's profits on FTTN (aka Fraudband). At least we know that NBNCO is aware of this and possibly willing to stop squeezing the telcos on profit. I bet Telstra lobbyists are constantly hammering Turnbull on it.
