Completely disingenuous to look at isolated cases. Do you really prefer the FTTN white elephant over FTTP -- which could have provided extremely fast speeds for many decades? Once the fibre is in the ground and into properties, the multiplexers, switches, photodetectors can be upgraded as needed, providing decades of extremely fast speeds. An investment in the future of Australia.
I really don't understand how Mr Broadband has such a short sighted view and was willing to make such a horrible investment. When they held hearings, expert after expert trotted in and said "use FTTP so you do it once and do it right". Instead, the Coalition has thrown billions at technologies that will be obsolete before the network is completed. The worst decision I have seen in my lifetime -- money down the drain for "political product differentiation".
The good news is that Fraudband might help Telstra's 4G/5G succeed as people opt out from this mess.
