I was googling and came across an old article (that I had read at the time or it was linked here earlier in the year)
from Febuary 27th this year in the omani times which was titled :
'Al Hadeetha project all set to get licence'
and contained the statement:
'The authority and other authorities met last week to discuss the advancement of the project and expedite the issuance of the project mining licence, Alara said in a statement.'
'At the meeting, Al Busaidi expressed his support for the project and commitment to expediting the administrative processes'

It made me sink back to reality a bit and remember that we have heard the licence is imminent so many times, only to be disappointed. So i'm not holding my breath but will be pleasantly surprised if it does come through.
