Lack of efficacy data is spot on. Actually, from looking at things, I think it is just a total lack of adherence to the tenants of evidence based medicine.
I mean I can understand alernative and quicker routes to market, but why wouldn't you simply prove your product does what you say it does. The IP strategy thing looks like a smoke screen, designed to hide a product that really is just another complementary medicine. Maybe their stuff does do what they say it does. At the end of the day, though, the traditonal pharma companies SLA seems to hate do a lot better than they do in providing evidence to support the use of their products.
