RevelsCat, I don't suggest that speccies like follow the DOW as the blue chips do but this is different. The market has had the stuffing knocked out of it. Confidence is zilch. And as speccies are largely built on hope that get trashed the hardest when confidence is gone. I remember the first couple of days of big falls in the DOW saw the good speccies basically unmoved. But when we all released that this was more than "just a bad week" they quickly dropped like stones. The reverse will happen now. Blue chips will follow the DOW back up and specs need to wait till confidence comes back. Hopefully that won't be too long.
