newtrader, you were wondering why the Maylord debacle of the quick recall of the 3C. Perhaps they are getting very high interest payments on their money which would cease once the notes were converted to shares. Also, as a lender to RMA perhaps they have a charge thus allowing them to rank above shareholders in the event of a collapse. This way they continue to profit, ensure some level of comfort & can always convert if & when any crisis passes.
