Whilst WiMAX is exciting, and probably the way forward in years to come - ReelTime has had an involvement with Unwired (announced last year) which seems to have gone nowhere.
I think "carriage" issues are of less importance than reducing cost of content product, building content product, customer reach and acquisition and ultimately building revenue.
There are enough Australians out there on fast broadband and high data plans to make this now a real probability - whereas a year ago, the ISP industry was stifling consumers with slow speeds and silly download limits.
TPG is leading the way with 150Gb plans, on ADSL2, with more ISP's to follow. Carriage has been sorted by the market, and let the market pressures continue to sort that out.
Ultimately, ISP's will see that ReelTime's peered content is cheaper to "flood" their networks, than expensive overseas Peer to Peer data, which comes in via the US to AUS data tie lines/submarine cables. So, its in the ISP's interest to get people onto "localised" data, rather than expensive P2P.
