The IOT for Telstra is about connectivity, every device, machine, vehicle, anyone wearing a uniform or work boots will be connected. TLS will be targetting increasing their mobile business 10 fold. There is bugger all in selling a mobile phone its the data plan. Sure it will be only a $2 - $5 plan however how many connected TV;s, fridges, washing machines every worker, vehicle, machinery everything will be connected on teh fabric TLS are and building.
Who else will have the connectivity? The ones ACCC instruct TLS to hare with, no one else.
This goes on and on. everywhere you would have sent a person to look ie a water gauge, that has a sensor is connected to a application gathering the data, automated decisions are made and an action takes place. All enabled by connectivity.
TLS will be king again in time.
