Have had a credit card for more years than I care to remember.
Recently I also took out a debit card. Was under the impression that a debit card was safer, thinking if anyone aquired my details they could only take out what I had put in. But I was wrong,have now discovered that a debit card can go into the Red and the bank, will of course charge outrageous interest.So I went to my ANZ bank branch and asked the question "What is the difference between a credit card and a debit card?" The lady just laughed and said "Gee nobody has asked me that before....I dont know"
Please can anyone enlighten me?
