$500 is the min buy amount on commsec so that or 1%. I break that rule by a fair margin but I am watching a dynamic trading platform and have pretty tight rules regarding an exit strategy. Always have a trading plan as well and been at it for quite awhile. Paid for many lessons the tuition was quite high in the early years. Lol.
