Because if you were tuning in it's only natural instinct to Vote for others.
Their VOTES MEAN NOTHING, Because if that person places it means nothing to their ranking.
They all start fresh at the Finals regardless of their placing aslong as they place.
You're not getting the point man, From an entertainment stand point if people were tuning in there would be 1-2 votes given out at the least.
NONE OF THEM ARE TUNING IN.
