I have a theory, but a loose one. (Nothing new there!!).
If the potential off take agreement has essentially led to an open pit design instead of an adit underground one as previously mentioned by the company, then it's highly probable, the buyer wants also the lepidolite. OR, the buyer wants the Cs and a second interested party, for example LPD or someone similar, wants the lepidolite beneath/between the Cs. I don't no, but it seems a viable proposition.
