Back then, the demand for the resource in the ground wasn't that big.... the world wasn't heading that way, it was all gold and iron ore back then, the market has changed the world is changing at a rapid pace.. no company could of known back then that the resource in the ground would be worth so much in the future. So they passed the opportunity on..
