Thought it was time we had a thread on a big 'potential' driver of growth outside of the mining and drilling cycle.
It's starting to get more and more mention in the quarterly Ops updates as well as investor presentations and annual reports.
Having a mineral analysis service to clients on top of the existing drilling services could prove to be very shrewd management.
The first two scanning machines arrive this month, so would expect to see some roadshows over in WA to drum up some interest, with commercialisation early next calendar year.
I'm a bot confused about it being a 'world-first' technology. It's 2017, surely something similar exists already? And if it does prove to be a hit, owe easily can it be replicated by competitors. Or is this a big case of first mover advantage.
It always feels like the SWK has all the dominoes in place and is about to unleash a lot of value to shareholders, but never quite gets there. It's a very well run business that has been trading at a large discount to NTA for years.
With the mining cycle picking up leading to improved margins as well as fleet utilisation, productivity gains per rig per man hour made from the R&D, and now the Orexplore getting closer to commercialisation, has the new dawn arrived?
