Juqu , a reasoned , well balanced & realistic summary , I especially liked the point about holding them for 12 months as it seems like the ATO is keen to catch any perceived gift they can issolate in the deal . From the disclosure document it would seem the capital gain component will be limited , although Legend will HOLD BACK from distribution adequate Apex shares to cover any capital gain the tax department deems has been made on the deal . i think this might relate to the Appreciation of the Apex script from 32.5 cents to 1.10 cents BUT THIS TAX ASPECT IS NOT MY EXPERTISE SO I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THAT .
