NOVO Exploration

This is a map taken from a Novo tenement surrender report from a tenement NOVO held from 2011 to 2017 which is instructive about their exploration approach and why they did not find Purdy's or its equivalent depsite their active exploration from 2011 onwards. It is a tenement near Marble Bar now held by AGO.  Novo carried out stream sediment sampling and rock chip sampling.  The focus was on MRB and HF, particularly the contact between the two.  19 of 22 rock chips and 14 of 19 stream sediment samples follow this pattern (red circles). Only 3 rock chip samples and 5 stream sed samples are located near basal MRB or in older formations ( rock chips in blue circles), and the report does not make it clear the rock samples were taken from basal or other MRB locations.  This shows Novo was searching for HF hosted deposits similar to Beatons Ck, and missing the basal MRB.  Bet QH teams are very focused in their Basal MRB approach now.
