In terms of strategy, the CTO is usually not the pivotal piece and they can be a tech expert, but not always. Since GSW keeps adding features and functionality to the platform, I have to assume they have enough competent tech resources. I looked at LinkedIn profiles of some of the team members listed and it is inaccurate to say none of them have technical/programming/development experience. That can be easily disproven. However, to your specific comment, if the executive team were the ones who were the developers, I'd have much more concerns about this company TBH and their ability to "see the forest for the trees". You don't want your coders being the ones guiding strategy and growth.
In previous ASX announcements, the company has specifically indicated that they are on an expansion and accelerating hiring, so it seems they have already been closing that item you mentioned.
Personally, I'd be more concerned if Hunter, Macdonald, or some of the key advisers left the company rather than the CTO. They are the ones driving the strategy and getting the company into cities/countries/verticals. You can always find coders (dime a dozen), however finding strategic minds with the right relationships...much more difficult.
