I do prefer when companies reinvest in the business. I was talking dividends much further down the track 3-5 years possibly. It really just depends on the rate of expansion and cash on hand. Take for example Berkshire Hathaway which are notorious for not paying dividends have too much cash and are looking to pay a dividend.
There is the risk of a takeover which is becoming very common nowadays.
I always come back to Facebook buying instagram for 1 billion dollars. What an absolute steal that was.
