energy - specifically electricity usage - is a highly desired - perhaps even the most desired generic data by fund managers as its has a very high correlation to gdp
need to have a big enough footprint for it to be useful - but an ability to discern electricity usage - particularly variations by town/state is very valuable as forward looking intell - the same way funds use satellite feeds to map transport activity and mall car park usage
