Just saw this article trawling through twitter:
China battery makers looking to get non-DRC cobalt, including Canada/Europe/Australia. Interested in taking stakes in overseas mines as well.
I thought it was amazing Europe was building battery factories to have their own production inside EU, right on EUC's doorstep. But this will create a race to lock up supply now that China battery makers are looking to pivot to non-DRC cobalt.
