Reckon the yanks are somewhat "pissed" that the chinese have got the drop on them ......by tying up the worlds lithium mines' production.
I watched recently a senate inquiry into raw materials reqd. for the battery market.

The panel of senators were sorta shocked the U.S. had little or no supply to start making batteries for electric vehicles..
When told the China control the Lithium market...you could hear their jaws hit the desk.

Elon Musk was laughed at for years by big oil...but lately U.S. realizing they've missed the boat gearing up for E/V...
So I'm not surprized to hear 'sour grapes' from these commentators.. who are so used to controlling the world.
