We are long term holders of ALF, going back to 2009, with many buys in between. ALF is about 5% of our portfolio. (We would indicate our dollar holdings, but perhaps it is not kosher to state this on this Forum). With the SP falling steadily, we are asking: should we sell and make losses, or hold out? All our cost bases are in losses now. But it is not too concerning for us.
Still, the question arises, if we are prepared to hold out, and wait, will not ALF find its feet again, and proceed forward. We are inclined to trust that this will happen. Reflecting thus, each of us have difficult times in our own personal lives, and we walk through the darkness and (mostly) find the light on the other side. That is life. Why should this not happen with an organic company? ALF have shown integrity in the past, they have Geoffrey Wilson as a Director, and at this time they are surely looking for clarity.
Is this a naive approach to the ALF outlook? One is interested to hear from others, from a commonsense perspective on this matter.
