I own both PLS and Lynas in my superfund. so I feel in a position to comment on this thread.

First and most importantly it's a very odd comparison...The only link is both companies are mining a resource that could potentially hit supply issues.

Lynas is established miner, that shot up when RE prices skyrocketed. The demand side came back with a whole heap of heavy polluting chinese miners. They have all now been pulled in and Lynas could benefit from again a supply shortage. They have also improved their debt, and seem to have improved the management of the company. 10 for 1 consolidation happening shortly makes me nervous, but i'll hold LT as it's superfund and I cant touch for 20 years anyway. Good potential upside IMO but could have some short term pain. The consolidation may bring back insto's however.

PLS which I hold a bigger bet on, is my favourite share at the moment. Not just because of the skyward chart recently but I foresee a LT rise to $3 a share is very achievable. Combined with a shortage of Lithium and potentially this thing goes a little fortescue metals for a while. In fact it's going to be digging up ore at just the peak time for supply shortage IMO. I also feel the general public hasnt caught the Lithium EV sharemarket buzz yet. Wait until the media gets hold of the idea more and some mania could do silly things to share price.

On the EV revolution I also like the coal miners. I had a remote control car as a kid and loved it, but it did eat through rechargeable DD batteries like candy. Something has to recharge all these toys, and if you think countries like India and China can do that with wind and sunshine you're in for a shock. Coal and Uranium could be the silent resources to watch as this gets traction.

I also like cobalt resources, and would advise anyone to steer clear of Palladium as it's only real use is catalytic converters and they will go the way of the dinosaurs.
