NLC lignite is around 6% Ash and 1.2% Sulphur
LV Coal is around 2% Ash and 02% Sulphur
Maddingley mine 14-18% Ash and 2-4% Sulphur
The change was not a processing issue, but the end user's long term preference for lower ash / sulphur.
Incidently, ECT are able to process either coal.
Expect to hear more on the Vic Boiler Trial Program soon.
