http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Pye Lloyd Pye (1946-) is an American author and researcher largely concerned with an alternative theory of the origin of human life, belonging to a field which he terms "alternative knowledge". Pye is author of four books, including the best selling and most well known Everything You Know Is Wrong - Book One: Human Origins. He also conducts original research into his theories, gives lectures, and has appeared on television programs such as The Learning Channel TLC (TV channel), National Geographic Channel, Extra (TV series), Animal Planet, and The Richard and Judy Show in the United Kingdom. In his work he postulates that humans did not in fact evolve from earlier organisms, but originate (at least partly) from deliberate intervention by extraterrestrial life (an intervention theory). There is little mainstream scientific support for Pye's claims, and he has been criticised by the scientific skepticism movement in an article by Steven Novella in 1999.
Pye was born in Houma, Louisiana. He studied psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans, before joining the U.S. Army as a military intelligence specialist.
