it irks me that there,s a billion dollar yearly black economy,
cash only which is untaxed and has such a devastating effect on australian life.
to support this black economy it is illegal and fine-ableas well as jailable.
tying up enormous amounts of police and court time.
and completely filling prisons to overflowing.
the economic exploitation is prohibited, hence the market across the whole of australia.
the finest strongest paper is made from this annually renewable resource, the strongest most durable clothing as well,
(eg levi jeans)the seeds are one of the most nutricious of all and provide loads of fine oil as well.
criminal control of the black industry would be busted if we could simply freely cultivate it for ourselves.
why pay 300$ an ounce(thats 4800$ per pound,or 4.8 million$ per tonne )
what other commodity comes anywhere close to that.
if you could grow it and trade it,income could be declared and taxed.
it would at least be easier to estimate annual production with transparency.
currently this is opaque and hidden, unestimable,
there are billions of dollars there available for potential corruption ,
and the govt does nothing about it.except ruin peoples lives with criminal records
stuff the jails full, and waste police time.
its like britain in the 18thcentury,transported for stealing a loaf of bread!
there should be a referendum put to the people,
should cannabis be completely decriminalised just like same sex marriage was.
preferably before xmas as well!
surely its time to remove the legislation used wholly to create and supporta massive cash only
black economy.
where has all this money gone from the past decade????
wake up and hold another referendum ...
it will do the society and economy a load of good,
more than the same sex marriage one even
