And therein playing to the mood of the angry s/h's who've been expressing their views on just that in these threads, and particularly the view that he and Studley should go.

Too right it was a stupid mistake mentioning his recently acquired skin in the game. What does that say for his intelligence ?? I'm pretty sure if he'd run that line past Matt, Matt would've advised against it emphatically.

He must be crapping himself after Studley has now turned to DUDley. Wouldn't be surprised to see him resign after new CEO and Chair are appointed.

On the other hand, if he has thick skin he could just try to ride it out to the next AGM and hope that we have a battery contract or some such by then to screen him.

And the options at 20c ?? He's already talked about "gracefully into real retirement" in his address.....I'd be fairly confident he doesn't need those options exercised to retire comfortably. Whether he gets his wish to retire gracefully is yet to be seen.
