Diplomat: as has been so clearly explained by other posters, the capital raising would have been at the request of one of Norwood's myriad of clients. Perhaps it was Oracle, perhaps it was Westpac: guess we'll never know. You and I were very mistakenly under the impression that it was because Norwood needed the cash to survive into the New Year. How wrong we were.
There will certainly be celebrations all round at the Somers office in Bermuda. Beautiful weather there this time of year.
